Artist's Comments

Part one of the Johnny series.

This was done about 6 months ago. It took me a while to decide whether or not I wanted to add it on here. Finally, I was fine with it.

I wanted to draw this picture for a long time since it was how I really felt about Johnny the Homicidal maniac. I don't like the version many others see normally, the ones normally done in Jhonen's old style.

"Holding the gun up against my own pulsing brain, I couldn't help but feel scared. Yet, I felt myself smile though this horrible choice I've made. Beginning to laugh hysterically as the blood from my eyes blind me, I find myself realizing: life is hilarious."

Oh wow. This is SO awesome. Just the feeling of sheer insanity there. And the white really draws the eyes against the black--it's a super composition. I love your interpretation!
